Lava Rock is a porous aquascaping stone that is widely used for planted as well as Fish tanks. It's lightweight stone. The porosity makes it suitable for use as aquarium filtration as the tiny holes provide surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.

It has a very dark color, a rough surface and a porous texture. Due to its comparably low weight, it is possible to create large structures with it.

It can be used alone or combined to create landscapes such as caves, cliffs, and mountains.
