Vermiculite Incubation Medium for Reptile Eggs
Vermiculite is an economical and easy reptile incubation substrate for experienced breeders. Vermiculite is considered by many to be the ultimate incubation media for many species of reptiles including snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles, and more! We offer fine to medium grade vermiculite (free of asbestos) as egg incubating media. 

Expanded Vermiculite/Exfoliated Vermiculite

Vermiculiteis an economical and easy reptile incubation substrate for experienced breeders. Vermiculite is considered by many to be the ultimate incubation media for many species of reptiles including snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles, and more!
 

• 0-4 mm granulation lies close to the eggs and is ideal for small and soft-shelled eggs
• 3-6 mm granulation improves the gas exchange and is ideal for large and hard-shelled eggs

Applications

Seed Germination:
Many commercial growers use vermiculite to cover sown seeds. Since water and relative humidity play an important role in the
germination process, seed planted with vermiculite will be protected against fast drying conditions.

Soil mixes:
When mixed with soil or soilless media, vermiculite promotes aeration helping young plants to take hold easily. Seedlings will
also be easier to remove with less danger of breaking off hair roots. Its high water retention will also decrease the irrigation
frequency by naturally regulating water availability in the seed tray.

Vermiculite Animal Feed/Substrate for Reptile

Animal Feed: Vermiculite in a refined form is used in animal feedstuffs. The free-flowing, soft, absorbent Vermiculite is an outstanding support material for carrying a wide range of nutrients.

Substrate for Reptile/Egg Incubation:

Vermiculite is ideal for egg incubation, invert substrate, planted vivarium's and a host of other applications. We have always preferred this coarse grade over what is generally found in home and garden centers for the added air circulation it allows.
